What is Lifestyle Family Photography?

Lifestyle Family Photography is all about documenting your life at home.  What is your favourite activity? How do you spend time together as a family? How do you interact with each other?

My job as a photographer is to capture the essence of your family in a session.

How to prepare for a Lifestyle Family Photography session?

I would like you to think about what you would really like me to capture in your session.  After booking, I will send you a questionnaire in which you can convey your thoughts. Once I have received your booking and questionnaire, I will arrange telephone appointment with you to discuss everything in more detail.

Please don’t feel that you need to have your house done up like a show home and you also don’t need to dress up. My approach to lifestyle family photography is to show your family’s natural environment. That is not to say that you don’t need to care at all. By all means, declutter and tidy the areas a little and perhaps put on some nicer, neutral & matching clothes. After all, you want to be proud of the resulting images afterwards and keep them as a family memory memento. Just don’t worry too much about having it perfect. Remember – most families live in a beautiful chaos that’s called home.

How long will the session take?

I estimate to spend a couple of hours with your family. This timeframe is a little flexible as it all depends on how many family members you have and what ages they are.

What kind of photographs could be taken?

Living Area

• Playing games
• Drawing or painting
• Snuggling on the couch
• Reading a book
• Involve the pets (if you have)

Children’s Bedroom

• Showing of their favourite toy
• General decor

Kitchen

• Cooking together
• Baking together

Post Production of Images

All your images will be professionally edited by Karin. During the session, I will take A LOT of photos. While processing, I will select my favourite images. Images will be supplied on USB as high-resolution digital images in a combination of either colour and b&w depending on which one is more suitable for the image. Low resolution files optimised for sharing on social media will also be added to the USB.

Optional Extras

Film Coverage, edited HD video on USB, 3 mini clips suitable for social media for an additional $200.

Professionally designed PhotoBook 210 x 210mm or 297 x 210mm for an extra $450.

Bookings

Please note that to book this package, a Booking Fee is $150 is due upon booking. The remaining $645 is due on the day of the shoot.
